[1] A mechanism in a refrigerator or air conditioner that pumpsvaporizedrefrigerant out of the evaporator, compresses it to a relatively high pressure and then delivers it to the condenser.
[2] A tool for compressing a coil spring, such as a valve spring.
[3] Pump of a refrigerating mechanism which draws a low pressure on cooling side of refrigerant cycle and squeezes or compresses the gas into the high-pressure or condensing side of the cycle.
[4] An air conditioning component which pumps, circulates, and increases the pressure of refrigerant vapor
